What does a tip actually cost me?
The tip plus a small platform fee, shown before you send. A $5 tip costs you $5.50, and Mara receives the full $5.00. No other charges, ever, and following is completely free.
What app do I need?
One you almost certainly have: Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal, or any wallet if you are the type who has one. Your first tip is guided step by step and takes about a minute. After that, tipping is just sending from your own app.
Do I need to know anything about crypto?
No. Under the hood, tips travel as digital dollars on rails that settle in seconds, which is why your support reaches the creator instantly and cannot be held up. You never manage any of it, and everything you see is in dollars.
Does the creator see who I am?
They see @you, your standing, and what you sent. Never your real name, never your contact details, never anything from your payment app. If you opt into it, they can reach you if they ever leave the platform, still without seeing who you are.
Do I have to appear on the board?
No. You can support quietly, and your standing still counts with the creator. Appearing on the public board is a choice you make per creator, and you can change it any time.
What happens if the creator gets banned somewhere?
Nothing, for you. Their Tiptoe page, their board, and your standing are untouched, and they can post once to tell every follower where to find them. That is rather the point of the whole thing.
Can I tip without following, or follow without tipping?
Both. Following is free and earns you nothing but the connection. Tipping builds your standing whether you follow or not. Most fans do both, because each one does a different job.
